How Much Is the RYA/MCA VHF Radio Licence Exam / Application Fee?
The fee for your Photo ID Licence is £60.00. This is in addition to the course fee, and it is payable direct to the RYA/MCA Certification Department by cheque or credit/debit card, through the application form, which will be given to you at the centre during your short practical assessment.
You will also require 1 x passport-sized photo, with your name written on the back.
Your RYA/MCA VHF Assessor on the day will send your application form to the Certification Department on your behalf, along with your passport photo and your payment.
If you prefer, you may do this yourself at a later date.
You will be given a 28-day temporary paper licence, and the full licence will be sent directly to your home address, normally within 4 weeks.
